Envy Websites was not always Envy Websites.
We started Envy in 2024, but we have been making websites online for over 20 years. Now, it may seem strange putting our old website on the portfolio, but Yorkshire Design was completely self built and a perfect example of our full stack capbilities.
More importantly, it shows some of our history.
E-Commerce Functionality
We implemented Woocommerce and a plethora of performance and functional plugins to enable a great user experience. It is more technical and in depth than it first seems – maybe because it now looks a little outdated. In it’s day, it was a masterclass.
It uses our whole arsenal of capabilities, and has been made with the user in mind. With blogs, portfolio’s, invoice systems, quote systems, video’s, images, custom code and simplistic design, it really showcases what we were doing – even back then.
Simplicity Personified
The baseline for good SEO is to have a lot of good, concise content on the page. That is why we had so much information. It is easy to read, yet allows for a huge amount of content to be put on page.
Content rich websites allow for better flexibility when going after the high ranking positions in Google.

Back To The Future
We designed this website with a very retro colour scheme and quite an ‘old-skool’ vibe to ensure it’s branding stood out. Today though, it just looks dated. But it shows our history, and we look at it with fondness and memories. It was one of our WorPress training grounds.
